Marco Longmore
Marco joined ISHCMC as the Head of School in January 2025. Prior to that, he was Head of School at fellow Cognita school, Stamford American School, Hong Kong. He was also the Founding Head of College at Fettes College Guangzhou and has led the partnership between Fettes College, a leading UK independent school, and Bright Scholar Education Group, China’s largest K-12 school private schooling provider, in their first joint venture opening.

Marco brings over 30 years of international teaching and leadership experience, having served at six leading Headmasters and Headmistresses Conference (HMC) Schools across the UK, Dubai, and China establishing and leading some of the most prestigious schools within the UK and international independent education. Marco is looking forward to bringing the school forward on a continued path of development and growth, encapsulating both his experience and the great foundations of the school.

Tosca Killoran
Dr. Tosca Killoran has been an educator in the IB international community in Asia, Europe and North America since 2000. Beyond her educational leadership, Tosca acts as a consultant to international schools as well as a presenter and keynote speaker at conferences and professional development sessions.
Tosca’s published research focuses on innovation and equity in education. She co-founded ED-ucation Publishing, founded TEDxYouth@BIS, TEDxYouth@NIST, and TEDxYouth@Jingshan in order to give a voice to #youthchangemakers. Her passions are global citizenship, equity in education, and providing opportunities for diverse communities to connect. She is an Amazon bestseller author of children’s books, a website designer and app creative director. Caleb Archer
Caleb has over 10 years of experience leading multi-cultural leadership teams from start-ups to mature campuses across a range of curriculums. For Caleb, a good education requires an inclusive culture and should be holistic. It should also incorporate values, 21C skills, technology, service, and a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities.

Michele Becnel
Michele Becnel has been in business development, marketing, and communications roles for over 30 years, including 15 years in executive management positions. Her career started in Silicon Valley start-ups before leaving the USA to take a marketing and operations position in Brussels, Belgium (Interel). Segueing into business development, she was transferred to Shanghai, China to open the China office for a global engagement marketing agency (MCI Group). Michele was tapped to join the executive team of the Entrepreneurs' Organization leading their growth, chapter operations, regional engagement and member service teams with staff based in 30 countries.
Joining ISHCMC in January 2025, Michele is passionate about sharing ISHCMC's values and how the IB framework prepares students for their adult life to the wider community. Her role as Director of Community Engagement encompasses the marketing, communications, co-curricular, and community support teams as well as oversight of PTO and Alumni groups. She previously served on the ISHCMC PTO (parent teacher organization) before joining ISHCMC full-time. Her family is now in their 5th year at ISHCMC (grades 7 and 10).

Dr Hana Adams PsyD., LMFT
Hana has over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health and has worked in internationals here in Vietnam and in Singapore. Hana's clinical qualifications assist her to see the systemic nature of academic, personal and social concerns a student may face both in and out of school. She believes strongly in the need for collaboration between school and families to ensure students receive holistic support to be successful.

Ted Lai
Ted Lai is a veteran educator. After ten years in the classroom, he transitioned to roles supporting and inspiring educators to transform learning. Honored as an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2003, Ted has been a keynote speaker and featured presenter at regional, national, and international conferences. He encourages innovation in learning through creativity, human-centered design, challenge based learning, technology integration, and student empowerment. Ted was previously the Director of Technology at Fullerton School District, a National Leadership Executive at Apple Inc., and the Vice President of Student Success at Calbright College. He and his wife Trang have two daughters, Zoe and Genevieve, and they enjoy vegan food and ballroom dancing. In his free time he and Genevieve co-host the Asian American History 101 podcast.

DIRECTOR OF TEACHING AND LEARNING

Gillian Presland
Gillian joins ISHCMC as the Director of Teaching and Learning. She began her teaching career in Australia, and then in 2001 joined IB schools, holding various teaching and leadership roles in Indonesia, Thailand, Japan and Cambodia. In addition to the joy of leading the MYP programme in 4 schools and other School leader roles, she also has experience teaching PYP, DP, and the role of University Guidance Counselor. As an enthusiastic member of the wider IB community she has been an IBEN member since 2009, and enjoyed 6 years as the IB Educator Network Regional Manager in the IB Asia-Pacific Singapore Office.
Gillian has a passion for recruitment and retention, instructional coaching and establishing learning communities that enhance learning and teaching; with an educational philosophy that encourages others and herself to approach each day with a growth mindset in a challenging and resilient manner. Gillian loves to inspire learners and support them to be their personal best. She also has a passion for creativity and enjoys exploring the nature of art, craft and design, with a special interest in ceramics.
