Dear Parents,
As we approach the final weeks of the school year, there is a strong focus on capturing the academic progress made this year across our campuses. Students from Grade 3 to Grade 10 are fully engaged in their MAP tests, while our IB Diploma students are in the middle of their IB Diploma Programme exams. At any age, assessments are an important opportunity for students to reflect on their learning, show their understanding, and apply their knowledge. Students and parents will receive feedback on these before the end of the school year. Further details can be found on Rhino Hub, on our Whole School Calendar page.
This week, our Primary students demonstrated confidence and ownership of their learning through student-led conferences. Witnessing young learners independently present their growth to parents is a powerful reminder of the strength of our IB PYP Programme, preparing future-ready skills every day.
Meanwhile, our Secondary Student Executive Team (SET) continues to lead the Belonging campaign with passion and purpose. Their thoughtful events and initiatives are building stronger connections across our school community.

Thursday’s Secondary Music Showcase was a celebration of talent and dedication, while last weekend kicked off a vibrant round of sports competitions. Our student-athletes continue to impress with their skills, and of equal importance, their sportsmanship and team spirit.

I was delighted to host our PTO parents on Thursday for our Gratitude Lunch. It was an occasion to celebrate and thank our incredible PTO for their partnership and the many ways they have supported ISHCMC throughout the year.

Looking to next week, our Grade 5 students will proudly share their learning with families at the PYP Exhibition. Next Friday brings both the Middle School Sports Day and Grade 12 Prom, marking two more memorable chapters in our students’ journey.
Wishing you a restful weekend.
Kindest regards,
Marco Longmore
Head of School
