Dear Parents,
It has been a week for fine weather and lots of school celebrations, including our Secondary Sports Awards Assembly, for which, well done to all involved. At Primary, Grade 4 Camp has sent back many positive reports and I hope the children return with many happy memories as well as strong learning through this experience. I am sure that the students, and the staff, will enjoy returning to their own beds and I wish all a restful weekend.
I mentioned last week how well the Flag Day Celebration represented the diversity of ISHCMC and this was reinforced to us all by the wonderful Food Festival so generously supported by you as parents and enjoyed by the whole community. My waistline definitely suffered but I enjoyed every bite I took of the tasty treats from around the world.

This week I also had the pleasure of meeting with the PTO Executive Committee. I was very pleased to hear from them about issues on parents' minds and also to start our plans for further opportunities for engagement, communication, and community activity in the year ahead. With that in mind, I will be writing out to all parents next week to update you on the position and plans made to support the integration of those ISSP families who have decided to join us next year at ISHCMC. I will address a number of questions raised with me at our PTO meeting, with the aim to alleviate any concerns. More to follow but for now let me assure you that for existing parents of the school, there will be no change to our class sizes, staffing ratios will remain the same, including additional and specialist support. We will be enhancing our school campus. The update will I hope bring further clarity and reassurance to all.
Finally, I would like to say thank you to those parents who have already completed our Voice of Parent Survey. The feedback received is genuinely valued and will be properly considered for future plans.
Warm regards,
Marco Longmore
