PTO General Assembly and Election Update: All You Need to Know


The PTO General Assembly will be taking place on Friday the 3rd of February, and we would like to provide you with the latest election updates and all the information you need.


What are the latest election updates?


We would like to inform you that the positions of 1. PTO President, PTO Vice-President - Primary, PTO Secretary - Primary, and PTO Treasurer have been filled, as we had only one candidate put themselves forward prior to the deadline.

When will the General Assembly meeting take place?


The PTO General Assembly on the 3rd of February in the Primary Meeting Room, 2nd floor of the Administration Building on the Primary Campus. The meeting will start at 8:30am and our entire parent community is welcomed to attend.


Are there any positions still open for applications?


Please note that the following positions are still open for applicants:


PTO Vice President - Secondary

The Vice-President will: aid and assist the President. Being responsible for the Secondary Campus and assuming the duties of the President in the event of the President’s absence or resignation.


PTO Secretary - Secondary

The Secretary will take minutes at all general and Executive Committee meetings and then publish them after the President has approved them.

a) Prepare and publish agendas for meetings

b) Maintain the list of the members holding any position in the PTO (both elected and volunteer)

c) Handle all correspondence of the PTO

d) Work in conjunction with the School Communications Team to publicize meetings and events


If you are interested in supporting our community in one of these roles, please join the meeting on the 3rd of February and share your interest in person with the Community Engagement Team.


The position may go up for election, depending on how many candidates put themselves forward,


What happens in cases when only one applicant has put themselves forward for a role during the General Assembly?


In cases where there is only one candidate who has put themselves forward for a position, they will automatically be elected to said position.
