PRIMARY PRINCIPAL
Kate Grant
Kate Grant is a dedicated and passionate educator with over 40 years of experience in diverse international contexts, including New Zealand, Bhutan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Paris (France), and Vietnam. Her extensive career has been shaped by her unwavering commitment to creating inclusive, student-centered environments where every child feels valued and supported.
Kate’s love for collaboration is at the heart of her work. Her belief in the power of teamwork ensures that teachers, staff, and students are all working together to create a vibrant and engaging educational environment.
Kate’s global teaching experience has enriched her understanding of different cultures and educational systems, and she continues to bring a fresh, open-minded approach to each new environment she encounters. Despite her extensive experience, Kate remains a learner, always eager to embrace new ideas that benefit her students and peers alike.
PRIMARY VICE PRINCIPAL
Daniel Larrosa
Since joining ISHCMC in July 2020, Daniel has made a significant contribution to the school community through his dedication to teaching and learning, leadership of G5 and G3, football coaching and his commitment to student success.
Daniel brings a strong academic background, including a Master’s Degree in Education from University College London, a PGCE, and advanced qualifications in Law including a PhD and an LLM with Distinction from Liverpool University.
With extensive international experience across the UK, South Korea, and Vietnam, Daniel has consistently demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and student achievement. His work across PYP and MYP programmes, together with his commitment to personalised learning and strong partnerships with students and parents, has contributed significantly to academic success and community building.
LOWER PRIMARY - PYP COORDINATOR
Leanne Le
Leanne is an an energetic, patient and versatile teacher. She has worked at prestigious institutions where she has learned first hand the importance of a solid curriculum and a strong commitment to students’ overall well-being and performance in all areas of their education.
Leanne routinely adapts her practices to ensure that her lessons are personalized, fun yet challenging, and inspirational. She aims to help students recognize the importance of being a caring and responsible individual in our community.
Leanne values play-based, student driven learning, routinely allow time in lessons for a bit of productive humor to help rejuvenate young learners. She aspires daily to foster a sense of curiosity, wonder, independence and creativity that will drive her students’ interest in understanding the world and their place within it.
UPPER PRIMARY - PYP COORDINATOR
Rebecca Tupling
Rebecca is a passionate educator with over 18 years of experience, and her career has ranged from positions such as a homeroom teacher and PYP coordinator in Hong Kong, Thailand and Canada. Her commitment to fostering a love for learning extends beyond the classroom, as she believes in creating engaging and dynamic educational experiences for students and teachers.
Outside of teaching, she is an avid runner, hiker, and yoga enthusiast, enjoying the balance these activities bring to my life. Reading is another passion of hers allowing her to explore new ideas and perspectives. Rebecca is joining the ISHCMC along with her husband (who is in business) and daughter Jorja who will be in Grade 1.
