Dexter is a Language Acquisition teacher specializing in Spanish. He comes to ISHCMC after having taught previously in IB schools in the UAE and China and teaching experience in the UK, Spain, and Argentina. He believes in the importance of an internationally-focused holistic education to help students succeed inside and outside of the classroom.

Jaime Weiler
Jaime Weiler teaches MYP and DP English Language Acquisition and brings 26 years of international teaching experience across 6 countries. Originally from the United States, she has previously taught at Keystone Academy in Beijing and KAUST in Saudi Arabia. Her areas of expertise include foundational English, grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary development, phonics, and reading and writing strategies. Jaime has also served as an MYP examiner and exam writer for the past 16 years, bringing a deep understanding of language development and assessment to her practice. Jaime believes students make the greatest progress when they are actively engaged and take ownership of their learning. She values ISHCMC’s internationally diverse community and its emphasis on belonging and global citizenship. Jaime is part of the ISHCMC community alongside her husband and their 2 children. Outside school, she enjoys baking, reading, painting, and going to the movies.

Bruna Ferreira da Rocha
Bruna Ferreira da Rocha teaches English Language Acquisition and works closely with multilingual learners. Originally from Brazil, she has taught and worked in Brazil, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Bruna is fascinated by the ways language and culture shape identity, learning, and communication. Her classroom begins with noticing each learner’s strengths, interests, and experiences, then finding different ways for them to access ideas, contribute, and become more independent. Living and working across cultures has also deepened her appreciation for empathy, inclusion, and human connection.

Lucy Bowden
Originally from England, Lucy joins ISHCMC after four years of teaching in Ho Chi Minh City. Passionate about English Language and Literature, she loves introducing students to diverse voices and perspectives through literature from around the world while fostering a lifelong love of reading. Lucy is excited to become part of the ISHCMC community and continue inspiring students through meaningful discussions, critical thinking, and the power of storytelling.

Eva Wylie
Eva Wylie teaches English Language Acquisition in Grades 9–12 and serves as Grade 9 Level Leader. Australian and French, Eva grew up in international schools across China, France, and Australia. Her own path toward teaching began while completing CAS and teaching English to primary students in China. That experience has stayed with her. Eva knows that communicating in another language can feel daunting, so she works to create a classroom where students feel respected, included, and confident enough to participate and take risks. What keeps her excited about ISHCMC is the unpredictability of each day and the students who continue to surprise her. Outside school, she enjoys snowboarding, cooking, and reading.

Pauline Tran
Pauline Tran works with multilingual learners through ISHCMC’s IELP and currently supports students in Grades 6 and 7. An Australian educator with experience at ISHCMC American Academy Vietnam and BIS, Pauline specializes in English as an Additional Language. Her teaching is inquiry-based and purposeful. She uses different strategies to make learning accessible while maintaining clear expectations, gradually helping students become more independent. Discussion and collaboration are central to her classroom because students have much to learn from one another. Pauline particularly values the range of talents students bring to ISHCMC and enjoys seeing them contribute through the arts, sport, service, leadership, and many other parts of school life.

Ryan Gibson
Ryan Gibson teaches English in Grades 6–9. Originally from Kent, England, he studied English and History at the University of Liverpool and has spent the past 9 years living in Ho Chi Minh City. Ryan is particularly interested in helping students become confident, independent readers, writers, and communicators. He balances discussion and creativity with clear expectations, giving students room to develop their own perspectives and understand why their learning matters. His experience has also included serving as Grade 6 Level Leader. Beyond the classroom, Ryan coaches football and cross country, writes fiction, reads widely, runs, plays padel, and enjoys exploring new places and food with his family.

Seung Hee has experience teaching IB MYP Korean Language and Literature in China. She is passionate about supporting multilingual learners as they strengthen their Korean literacy and cultural identity within an international school setting. She believes every student thrives when they feel understood and supported, and is dedicated to helping learners build confidence and reach their full potential.
