At ISHCMC, the health and wellbeing of our students is always a top priority. Over the past months, we've taken a closer look at how we manage air quality in our learning spaces.
We’re pleased to share that as part of our continued commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment, we have upgraded the air purifiers across our Primary campus. 20 new LG PuriCare™ 360º Alpha Double units have been installed in classrooms, replacing older IQAir models with expired filters.
Why the change?
The new LG units were selected following a careful review of performance, maintenance and availability. They offer several advantages:
Advanced 360° Multi-Filtration: Captures 99.9% of airborne pollutants including dust, allergens, bacteria and viruses.
Smart Monitoring: Built-in sensors track air quality in real-time and provide visual updates.
Quiet Operation: Ensures minimal disruption to teaching and learning.
Remote Management: Our facilities team can now monitor and maintain performance across devices using LG ThinQ™ connectivity.
International Certification: Certified by the British Allergy Foundation for their effectiveness in reducing allergy-causing substances.
We understand that some families may be more familiar with the previous IQAir units, which had a more industrial appearance. Please be assured that the new models are not only highly efficient, but also easier to maintain and better suited for long-term use in the classroom environment.
We remain dedicated to creating a nurturing and safe learning environment for your children. Should you have any questions about this upgrade or about how we continue to manage indoor air quality at ISHCMC, please feel free to reach out to us at community@ishcmc.com.
