Dear ISHCMC Families,

I am writing to inform you that ISHCMC’s Secondary Principal, Mr. Caleb Archer, will conclude his time at the school in mid December. He has made a personal decision to pursue a new professional role outside of Vietnam that will commence soon. Joining International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) after Covid, Caleb supported the Secondary campus in refining and embedding key procedures during an important time of rebuilding. We are grateful for his three and a half years of service.

As we move through this transition, I want to assure you that secure and steady leadership for our students remains our highest priority. Our current Deputy Head of School for Academics, Dr. Tosca Killoran, will serve as Acting Secondary Principal for the remainder of the Academic Year 2025 - 2026. She is a highly experienced educator and school administrator, having been a Head of School prior to joining ISHCMC.

Supported by Dr. Mark Wenzel, ISHCMC’s Deputy Head of School for Pastoral, Dr. Killoran’s deep understanding of our community and her strong commitment to quality teaching and learning position her well to guide the Secondary campus with clarity, care, and the consistency your children deserve.

The recruitment process for our new Middle School and High School Principals is already well advanced. We have attracted a broad and capable field of candidates, and several interviews have already taken place. Our focus is to appoint leaders who uphold the values of ISHCMC and demonstrate strength in vision, integrity, academic performance, and student-centered practice. We anticipate that we will be able to share the identities of our new leaders early in 2026. I will share an update once the appointments are confirmed.

I would like to reassure all families that daily life at school continues as normal. Our teachers, staff, and student body remain fully engaged in learning and the rich experiences that define ISHCMC. Thank you for your continued partnership and trust in our community as we move forward together.
