Dear ISHCMC Community,
I’m pleased to share that our Grade 12 students have now completed their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) examinations, marking an important milestone in their academic journey. Over the past month, our students have shown tremendous focus, resilience, and determination as they prepared for and completed their final assessments.

I’m incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to celebrating their achievements together at the Graduation Ceremony on 30 May.
Across both campuses, students have continued to demonstrate dedication to their learning during this important assessment period. Students in Grades 3–10 are currently participating in the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments, which provide valuable insight into student growth and help guide next steps in teaching and learning.
At the same time, our Grade 10 and 11 students are undertaking examinations under IBDP-style conditions, helping them further develop the skills and confidence needed for future success. I wish all of our students every success as they complete these assessments.

As the academic year draws to a close, our community will also come together to celebrate the many achievements and milestones our students have reached throughout the year. We look forward to recognizing our students during upcoming ceremonies, including:
04 June - Grade 8 Community Project Completion Ceremony
05 June - Grade 10 Middle Years Programme (MYP) Completion Ceremony
10 June - Grade 5 Primary Years Programme (PYP) Completion Ceremony
Alongside these celebrations, students across the school will showcase their creativity and talents through a variety of artistic performances. I encourage you to look out for dates and details in our school newsletter.

Last week, the leadership team and I had the pleasure of hosting our PTO Gratitude Lunch. I would like to once again extend my sincere thanks to all parents who joined us. Your partnership, support, and contributions continue to play a vital role in fostering a connected, welcoming, and vibrant school community.

I would also like to thank all parents who have put themselves forward as candidates for next year’s PTO Executive Board. We look forward to welcoming parents to the PTO Annual General Meeting on 27 May, where the leadership team will share a review of the year and announce the election results.
The PTO Annual General Meeting is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about how parents can engage and contribute to our vibrant school community. Whether you are interested in volunteering regularly, supporting a specific event, serving as a country representative, or simply looking for small ways to get involved throughout the year, we encourage all parents to join us and discover the many ways to connect and contribute at ISHCMC.
Best wishes,

Marco Longmore
