Dear ISHCMC Community,

“A healthy mind in a healthy body” is very much the theme of the activities we see at ISHCMC this week.

Our High School students have been taking part in University Spirit Week. Through workshops and activities, they have explored future pathways and begun asking important questions about what they might study, where they might go, and the opportunities they wish to pursue.

The week leads into the HCMC Global University Fair on Monday, 28 September, hosted by our Future Pathways Counselors. Representatives from more than 200 universities around the world will be available to speak with students about programs, admissions, campus life, and the possibilities beyond ISHCMC. For our Grade 11 and 12 students in particular, these conversations can help turn a broad ambition into a clearer next step.

Tomorrow, we will join Cognita schools around the world in marking the eighth Global Be Well Day. Students will step away from their usual routines to take part in physical activities and well-being workshops. The day gives our community time to pause, connect, and consider the habits that help each of us feel and function at our best.

Looking ahead, our Secondary Parent Teacher Student Conferences (PTSC) will take place in October. These conversations bring students, families, and teachers together to recognize progress, discuss learning, and agree on the next steps for each student.

Finally, I look forward to seeing students, families, and staff at Rhino Family Fun Night on Saturday, 03 October at our Primary Campus. With more than 30 food and beverage vendors, activities for all ages, and up to 20 live performances, the evening will give us another opportunity to spend time together and celebrate what makes this community special.

As the term continues, I remain grateful for the energy, curiosity, and care our students bring to school each day. I look forward to seeing them continue to grow and to connecting with many of you in the weeks ahead.
