Head of School Message - 28 March

Updated: Apr 15

Dear Parents,

As we reached the end of the penultimate week of this academic school term, I continued to be impressed by the efforts inside and outside of the classroom from our students and staff.

Our IBDP candidates have been sitting their Mock examinations at Secondary. This gives them excellent preparation in terms of their experience of the exam period and in the feedback they will receive on their papers in how they fine-tune their preparation for success in the actual examination in May this year.

We have also seen our Primary Grade 5’s experience life at Secondary through their visit and exploration of school supported by our Grade 9 students in the ‘Change Carnival’ activities. A huge amount of fun was enjoyed by all and this is just one of a number of events designed to support our student transition with success and purpose from Primary to Secondary School.

Outside of the classroom, we have seen the start of our new sports season and teams hosted at ISHCMC for the next round of competitions and we are delighted to see our Grade 9 student be selected for the Vietnam National Debating Team 2025 who will travel to Panama for the World Schools Debating Championship later this year. Congratulations!

I look forward to a number of musical recitals next week including our DP examination group performances.

I will also be hosting an informal coffee update on Wednesday 2 April at Primary School addressing any parent questions on school plans regarding the ISSP closure, 8 to 8:45am at our Primary campus.

Warm regards,

Marco Longmore
