Dear ISHCMC Community,
Welcome to Term 4, our final term of the academic year. I hope our students and families enjoyed a restful break and have returned feeling recharged for the exciting weeks ahead.
Last week, it was a pleasure to see our school come together for our annual Celebration of Cultures. Students, families, and staff proudly shared cultural dress, traditional food, and personal stories that reflected the rich diversity of ISHCMC.
Thank you to our PTO, along with our staff, for helping create such memorable celebrations. Most importantly, thank you to our community for the warmth, pride, and spirit you brought to these occasions.

At the start of this week, our staff came together for a Professional Development Day focused on growth and excellence in teaching and learning. At ISHCMC, professional learning is not a one-time event, but an ongoing commitment to reflection, collaboration, and improvement in service of our students.
In my opening remarks, I highlighted the importance of DAC: Direction, Alignment, and Commitment. When we are clear in our direction, aligned in our efforts, and committed to our shared purpose, we strengthen our collective capacity to support every learner. By investing in our people, we continue to create the conditions for every student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Next week also marks a significant milestone for our Grade 12 students as they approach the end of their 12+ years of formal education. As the Class of 2026 prepares to complete their journey, our community will come together to honor them through traditions that capture the continuity and connection that define the ISHCMC experience. From the Secondary Assembly to their walk through the Primary Campus, these moments serve as a powerful reminder of how far our students have come and the lasting bonds they have built along the way.

Lastly, at the beginning of this week, I invited you to share your family’s re-enrollment intention for your child at ISHCMC for Academic Year 2026–2027. In order to preserve our overall balance to school size, demographics, and co-educational balance, your support in submitting your intention truly helps the school reserve your child’s place and make appropriate planning for offers out to prospective families. Please complete the form by Friday, 17 April 2026.
Your response is greatly appreciated and plays an important role in helping us prepare well for the new academic year.
Best wishes,

Marco Longmore
