Dear ISHCMC High School Community,

I hope you and your family have had a wonderful start to the school year!

It has been an absolute joy to step into my role as your new High School Principal and watch our students settle into their routines, reconnect with friends, and bring so much positive energy into our hallways.

As we embark on this exciting year of learning and growth together, I want to emphasize how much I value our partnership. We have several fantastic events and milestones coming up quickly, so please take note of the upcoming dates.

These evenings will provide an opportunity to hear from school leaders, learn more about our High School pathways and the IB programs that underpin them, meet your child’s teachers, and better understand the learning experiences and expectations ahead.

Ahead of the event, I encourage Grade 9 and 10 families to explore our High School Curriculum Briefs, which provide an overview of your child’s learning. During Back-to-School Night, families will have an opportunity to discuss with teachers and ask questions.

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing more about the programs, pathways, and opportunities available to our students this year.

Future Pathways

Over the summer, our Future Pathways Counselors strengthened their knowledge of global university admissions and built new connections with universities around the world. Through international conferences such as the International Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) and university visits across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, they gained valuable insights into emerging admissions trends and opportunities for our students. These connections will further support our students as they explore pathways and prepare for their future beyond ISHCMC.

After School Activities (ASAs): Season 1

Registration for After School Activities (ASAs) Season 1 opens on Monday, 24 August, through SchoolsBuddy.

ASAs are an important part of the ISHCMC experience, giving students opportunities to pursue their interests, develop new skills, take on challenges, and connect with others beyond the classroom. From volleyball, debate, and robotics to the arts, gardening, and more, there are many ways for students to get involved.

Please note the following key dates:

  • Monday, 24 August: Registration opens on SchoolsBuddy at 07:00

  • Monday, 07 September: ASA Season 1 begins

  • Thursday, 05 November: ASA Season 1 ends

For questions about activities or registration, please contact our Director of Activities and Experiential Learning at garthtaylor@ishcmc.edu.vn. For technical support, please contact our IT Department at helpdesk@ishcmc.edu.vn.

High School Sports Day

On Friday, 28 August, our High School students will come together for Sports Day. Students will participate in a range of indoor and outdoor activities, including football, Wall Breakers, tug of war, and more.

Sports Day is an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, strengthen connections across grade levels, and launch our House activities for the year.

I look forward to seeing our students make the most of these opportunities and to connecting with many of you in the weeks ahead.

Warm regards,

Kohulan Jeganathan
