Relaunch of the ISHCMC Orchestra

We’re excited to share that the ISHCMC Orchestra is returning this year! At ISHCMC, we believe music plays a vital role in a well-rounded education - nurturing creativity, collaboration, and confidence while allowing students to express themselves in meaningful ways.
The orchestra will be directed by Ms. Jmi Ko, a premier violinist and experienced music educator who previously led the ISHCMC Orchestra. With an inspiring repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces and film scores to world and contemporary music, Ms. Ko is excited to welcome both new and returning musicians to the stage.
The program is open to Primary and Secondary students, with pathways designed for both beginner and advanced players. Students will take part in weekly sectional rehearsals (at Primary and Secondary) to develop technical skills and a full-orchestra rehearsal every Friday afternoon in the Secondary Theater.
Upcoming Performances
This year’s highlights will include a Spring Concert (2026) and a special performance at Graduation in June. Looking ahead, we are also planning opportunities for students to join charitable concerts supporting children in Vietnam and to participate in international music competitions.
Program Fee
To support instruction, materials, and performance logistics, there will be an annual orchestra fee of VND 5 million. This contribution helps us maintain the quality of the program and ensures its continued growth for years to come.
Important Dates
Secondary Student Information Session: Thursday, 23 October | 10:00 - 10:20 | MPR.
All-Orchestra Kickoff and Parent Meeting: Friday, 07 November | 15:30 - 16:30 | Secondary Theater (Both Primary and Secondary Parents).
