Our first international ASAC tournament of the school year was Junior Basketball hosted by Northbridge in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Congratulations to our girls who were placed second with a final championship score of 13-28 against UWC Thailand and our boys who were placed first with their championship game score of 40-21 against Concordia.
Our second international event was the ASAC Senior Volleyball tournament hosted by Wells International School with both U19 Girls and U19 Boys teams placed second in the tournament after very exciting final games.
Our students had another great week of sporting activity both in the primary and secondary schools. For example, our Secondary School Cross Country Team finished first at the SISAC Cross County Meet. In addition there were many individual students who were placed - U13 Boys (1st Haider); U13 Girls (1st Vilde, 2nd Youna, 3rd Celina); U15 girls (1st Madeline); U15 Boys( 1st Danichiro);, U19 Boys (1st Jamie, 3rd Stanislaw); U19 Girls (1st Zoe, 2nd Albee, 3rd Enna).
We are so grateful to see many of our children are able to participate in sport this year through our inclusive and open approach that encourages participation and a love of sport. For example, we have 45 Under 19 Volleyball girls on the court, 50 Under 9 Soccer girls and recently we had 9 teams participate in the recent inter-international school cross country competition. Thank you to all of our coaches and our Athletic Directors (Dan and Laura) who make this possible! Thank you for the time you give to our Rhinos. Thank you to our parents for your positive support and love for sport.
