We are thrilled to introduce the passionate and talented educators joining International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) for the new academic year 2025 - 2026! Each of them brings unique experiences, expertise, and energy to our community.
Get to know our newest faculty members below:
Primary School

Rebecca Tupling | Upper Primary - PYP Coordinator
Rebecca is a passionate educator with over 18 years of experience, and her career has ranged from positions such as a homeroom teacher and PYP coordinator in Hong Kong, Thailand and Canada. Her commitment to fostering a love for learning extends beyond the classroom, as she believes in creating engaging and dynamic educational experiences for students and teachers. Outside of teaching, she is an avid runner, hiker, and yoga enthusiast, enjoying the balance these activities bring to my life. Reading is another passion of hers allowing her to explore new ideas and perspectives. Rebecca is joining the ISHCMC along with her husband (who is in business) and daughter Jorja who will be in Grade 1.
Kristine Camille Antonio Restituto – Homeroom Teacher
An early childhood educator from the Philippines, Kristine brings a play-based and inquiry-driven approach to learning. Since relocating to Vietnam with her family in 2023, she has embraced the culture and continued her growth as an educator. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and previously taught at International School Saigon Pearl.

Tina Park – KG Homeroom Teacher
Tina brings extensive experience from bilingual and international schools in Morocco, Colombia, Vietnam, and Korea. With a BSc in Early Childhood Education and certification from Moreland University, she builds inclusive, play-based classrooms and is committed to supporting English language learners.

Steven Charles Bagley – Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher
Returning to ISHCMC, Steven has held leadership and teaching roles in Korea, Vietnam, Morocco, and Colombia. He has a Master’s in Education and a certificate in Educational Leadership. Steven values inclusive, student-centered learning and looks forward to rejoining the school with his family.

Samantha Jean Krueger – Homeroom Teacher
Samantha is a globally experienced educator, having taught in the U.S., Vietnam, Mongolia, Mozambique, and France. With a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction and a strong focus on reading and PYP methodology, she builds reflective, compassionate, and confident learners.

Abigail Smith – Primary Music Teacher
A vibrant music educator from Texas, USA, Abigail brings experience across the IB continuum. She fosters musical expression and student voice, having led choirs, musicals, and band programs. Abigail has taught in the U.S. and Kosovo and holds a Bachelors in Music Education.

Sonia Ali Hiranandani – Primary Homeroom Teacher
Sonia, originally from Hong Kong, has taught internationally since 2011. With degrees from the University of Leeds, UCL, and the University of Hong Kong, she brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting diverse learners.

Greg Alksne – Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher
With over 26 years in education, Greg has worked across all levels, including leadership roles and IB workshop facilitation. Originally from Australia, he emphasizes inclusive curriculum design and building authentic relationships in learning communities.

Alicia Mary Spicer – EY Music Teacher
Alicia’s international experience spans Vietnam, Australia, and Abu Dhabi. With a vibrant and compassionate approach, she inspires self-expression through music. Alicia believes every small moment can spark growth and brings warmth and integrity to her practice.

Jennifer Murphy – Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher
From Ireland, Jennifer brings a joyful and student-focused philosophy. With experience in both Ireland and Vietnam, she blends the Irish curriculum with the IPC. A strong believer in community, she incorporates team values in her classroom.

Eleanor Bolger – Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher
Eleanor is a creative and outgoing educator from Ireland with a Bachelor of Education. Her interests in music, drama, and the arts enhance her dynamic teaching. Known for her positive spirit and people-first approach, she looks forward to building a vibrant classroom.

Sofía Muñetón – Grade 2 PYP Homeroom Teacher
Sofi brings 15+ years of experience in early years and lower primary, with a focus on social-emotional learning and mindfulness. From Colombia to the DRC, she has built inclusive classrooms where every child feels seen and valued.
Trentino Parcells – Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher
Originally from Washington, USA, Trentino has taught across Colombia, Mexico, the U.S., and the DRC. With a Master’s in Elementary Education and a love for exploration, he brings cultural curiosity and student-centered learning to ISHCMC.
Helen P. Orobia – EE4 Homeroom Teacher
Helen is a dedicated early years educator from the Philippines with extensive international school experience in Vietnam. Her philosophy emphasizes respect, belonging, and empowering young learners to develop independence and confidence.
Secondary School

Catriona Treanor | Secondary Vice Principal
Catriona is a passionate and dynamic educator and leader with a strong commitment to fostering collaborative learning environments that support student success in their chosen pathway. With a deep belief in the importance of holistic, student-centred education, she prioritises the social and emotional well-being of every learner. Catriona is dedicated to equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and values needed to thrive as compassionate, responsible global citizens in our rapidly evolving world. Catriona began her career studying and teaching in the United Kingdom. With over 13 years of teaching and leadership experience, she has led academic and pastoral teams in China and, most recently, Singapore. Catriona is joining ISHCMC as Secondary Vice Principal in August 2025.

Isaiah Gudipati – Mathematics Teacher
Isaiah joins us with 23 years of experience in international schools across Thailand, Myanmar, and India. Specializing in IB, AP, and IGCSE math programs, he emphasizes real-world applications and inquiry-based learning. Isaiah holds a Master of Arts in Teaching, a BSc in Mathematics, and a US teaching certificate. He's passionate about nurturing supportive, engaging classrooms.

Elvira Delos Santos Falcon – Science Teacher
With a strong foundation in biological sciences, Elvira comes from the Philippines, where she served at Libertad National High School for 15 years. She believes in being a role model for her students, fostering an environment where learners feel inspired and empowered. She holds a degree in Secondary Education.

Ma. Kristina Graciella Uytiepo – DP & MYP Maths Teacher
With 17 years of experience in the Philippines and Indonesia, Kris is an expert in mathematical modeling. She is currently completing a Master’s thesis on the subject and serves as an IBDP examiner. Her classrooms promote inquiry, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Paul Brotherton – Head of Secondary PHE
Paul has been an educator since 1997, working in the UK, Oman, Dubai, Sweden, and Fiji. An IB workshop leader, Paul brings strong leadership in Physical and Health Education, with a BA in Educational Studies and a career rooted in holistic student well-being.

Brian C. Cadogan II – Secondary Counselor
Brian joins us from Brazil with 22 years of counseling experience. He has supported students in the U.S., UAE, and South America. A proud New Yorker, Brian brings relational strength and a focus on empowering young people through respectful and responsive guidance.
Whole School

Richard Thorp – Deputy Aquatics Director
Richard is a seasoned swim coach and PE teacher with over three decades of experience. From coaching Olympic trial swimmers to leading aquatics programs in Bangkok and Beijing, Richard brings elite-level knowledge and a love for developing student-athletes. He holds a BA in Sport Science and a PGCE.
We warmly welcome all new members to our ISHCMC family and look forward to the inspiration and growth they will bring to our students, families, and faculty community.
