Lanie is passionate in supporting children achieve their full potential. She believes that all children are unique and must have an environment that provides opportunities to develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. She is committed in fostering positive learning atmospheres and in differentiating instruction to support diverse learning needs and abilities. She is actively engaged in empowering children to drive their own learning by developing skills for self-regulation, by enabling students to have more agency, develop critical thinking skills, and to become independent learners.

Katrine has accumulated a wealth of experience through her employment at various international schools across Southeast Asia and Central Asia. During her tenure, she has had the opportunity to engage with a wide range of students, fostering a deep understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and learning needs. With a dedicated focus on learning support, Katrine has dedicated 16 years to this profession, honing her skills and expertise in providing tailored assistance to students requiring additional support.

Bern Quiambao
Bern Quiambao is the Gifted and Talented Teacher at ISHCMC Primary. A Canadian educator with more than 10 years of international teaching experience, she has worked in Canada, Egypt and Vietnam, with a particular focus on supporting students with exceptionalities. Bern values opportunities for every student to recognize their strengths, take on meaningful challenges and grow in confidence. This belief also shapes her work beyond the classroom. Coaching girls’ basketball has been a career highlight, particularly as she has watched students develop confidence through sport. Bern lives in Ho Chi Minh City with her husband. Together, they enjoy traveling, learning and trying new experiences, as well as being part of the ISHCMC community.

Eduardo Salegas
Eduardo Salegas is a dedicated EAL teacher with over 12 years of experience, having worked in schools across South America and Asia. He has been teaching in Vietnam for the past eight years and brings five years of experience in IB PYP schools, supporting multilingual learners in international environments. Eduardo believes students learn best when they feel safe, valued, and confident to express themselves, and he is passionate about helping children find their voice through language. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys reading, watching movies, and travelling, and loves discovering new cultures and new places around the world.

Katherine Ross
Kate Ross is the Digital Learning and Innovation Coach at ISHCMC Primary. Originally from Canada, she has spent 13 years living and teaching internationally, including in Honduras, Myanmar, China and Vietnam.
Kate helps students and teachers use technology to explore ideas, solve problems and bring creative projects to life. She believes learning should include play, experimentation and the confidence to give something new a try. A highlight of Kate’s time at ISHCMC has been helping the Primary Campus gain recognition as an Apple Distinguished School. She values the curiosity of ISHCMC students and their willingness to test ideas, learn from mistakes and create something meaningful.
