Dear ISHCMC Community,

As we follow the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, we are reminded how important strong communities are in providing safety and support. On behalf of ISHCMC, I have written to Cognita’s Group CEO, Mr. David Baldwin, to share our care and support for Cognita schools and families in the region.

Global events can be difficult for children to process. Our Counseling team has prepared a short guide for parents on how to talk with children about current events. Please feel free to use this resource or reach out if you would like additional support.

Another way to support our community is by completing the Voice of the Parent Survey. Parents received an email on 03 March from ishcmc@euro.confirmit.com with the survey link. Please also check your promotion or junk/spam folder in case the email has been sent there. Your feedback helps us understand how we can continue improving the experience for our students and families.

We also recently reviewed results from our Student Belonging and Inclusion Survey. Encouragingly, 73% of students feel they belong at ISHCMC and 69% feel comfortable being themselves. At the same time, some new students reported challenges with feeling included, so we are strengthening support to help them connect and feel at home in our community.

Finally, from 16 to 27 March, our Grade 12 students will sit their IB Mock Exams as they prepare for the May examination session. We wish them every success as they approach this important milestone.

Best wishes,

Marco Longmore
