Dear ISHCMC Families,

Welcome back to ISHCMC.

I hope that you and your loved ones enjoyed a restful and joyful October Break. It has been a pleasure to see our students return this week, bringing with them renewed energy, enthusiasm, and the vibrant spirit that makes our campuses come alive once again.

As we begin Term 2, I am happy to share news that resonates deeply with our values of creativity and collaboration - the ISHCMC Orchestra has officially returned.

The relaunch of our Orchestra will be guided by  Ms. Jmi Ko, a distinguished violinist and educator whose deep commitment to nurturing young musicians has left a lasting mark on Vietnam’s music community. Her experience with the Vietnam International Youth Orchestra, together with her previous leadership of the ISHCMC Orchestra and her artistry as a performer, will provide our students with an inspiring foundation for growth, collaboration, and creative expression.

The ISHCMC Orchestra has always been a symbol of collaboration and creativity within our community. It offers students the chance to build responsibility, foster friendships, and experience the joy of collective achievement.

Most importantly, the Orchestra is a place where students can make the most of their time at ISHCMC by connecting through music, creating meaningful experiences, and forming memories they will treasure long after graduation. This year’s program will include performances at our Spring Concert and Class of 2026 Graduation, with additional opportunities for our young musicians to perform within the broader Vietnamese and international music community.

Families can find more information about the program and how to get involved on Rhino Hub.

I am very much looking forward to seeing our talented Rhinos take the stage and share their passion for music with the ISHCMC community. I know many will join me in looking forward to future performances.

Best wishes,

Marco Longmore
