Dear ISHCMC Community,
Welcome back to campus! I hope our students and families enjoyed a joyful Tet holiday filled with rest and celebration. As we continue this school year, I look forward with excitement to all that lies ahead for our students and our community.
This week, our Executive Leadership Team and I were pleased to host Head of School Update Sessions on both campuses. This is a special opportunity for us to strengthen our partnership with families and provide an opportunity to share key updates, including progress in teaching and learning, student wellbeing, future pathways, leadership structure, campus enhancements, and initiatives to further elevate the parent experience.

Most importantly, these sessions created space for open and honest dialogue. Your insights, reflections, and questions are invaluable. They help ensure that our direction remains aligned with what matters most, supporting every student to learn independently, grow confidently, and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
As mentioned during the session, the Cognita Voice of Parent Survey (VoP) will launch on 04 March. This survey provides a valuable opportunity for you to confidentially share your experience at ISHCMC and offer insights that directly inform our continuous improvement and strategic direction. Your voice matters, and your participation plays a vital role in our shared success.
The guide to the VoP provides a clear outline of the purpose and the scoring system for your responses. I would like to draw your attention in particular to the 0–10 scale which indicates your response to the question:
10-9 Positive
8-7 Passive
6 and below Negative
I know that last year, a number of respondents were surprised to be contacted by my colleagues about their concerns after our survey. This was based on the scores they gave, even though the family did not intend the score to be taken negatively.

My appeal is to please complete the VoP survey when issued. Be honest with us on your reflections for good, bad, or in between but please also use the full range of scores to indicate this clearly. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and want to ensure the use of the scoring system provides us with a clear understanding of areas of focus for success and development needs.
Together, we will continue to make this term one of growth, connection, and meaningful achievement for every Rhino.
Best wishes,

Marco Longmore
